The department of safety technologies was established on July 7, 2004.
The staff of department provides and carries out educational process at realization of educational programs of additional education of adults – retraining and advanced training of managers and specialists, retraining and advanced training of workers( employees), training, training courses, training in organizations of managers, specialists and personnel of organizations and institutions of the Republic of Belarus in the field of labor protection and fire safety, industrial, nuclear and radiation safety, safety of transportation of dangerous goods by road, non – destructive testing and technical diagnostics, etc.
Teachers of the department have extensive scientific, pedagogical and managerial experience. Educational and scientific – methodical activity of the department is provided by 5 candidates of sciences.
Along with full – time teachers, leading specialists of state administration bodies of the Republic of Belarus, large enterprises, scientists of scientific organizations and educational institutions are invited to conduct classes.
Employees of the department take an active part in the work of scientific, practical and scientific – methodical conferences.
The department organizes educational and methodological support of the educational process in the preparation, training, training courses for managers and specialists of institutions and organizations in the following areas:
• development, implementation and audit of occupational health and safety management systems (ohms)
• development, implementation and audit of quality management systems (QMS)
• labour protection
• pressure chambers for medical workers
• sterilizers
• fire safety
• industrial safety
• expertise in the field of industrial safety
• safety of transportation of dangerous goods by road
• nuclear and radiation safety
• nuclear and radiation safety related to the performance of works at BelAES
The department organizes educational and methodological support of the educational process of retraining, advanced training, training courses for workers (employees) in professions and types of work performed.
