Shanghai hosts China International Import Expo, the largest multi-industry exhibition event. The Belarusian pavilion "High-tech equipment and information technologies" presents 126 scientific and technical developments of Belarusian scientists from 32 organizations of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus and the Ministry of Education.
Among the presented developments are ultra-small orbital spacecraft developed by the Belarusian State University. In 2018, the BSUSat-1 nanosatellite was launched into orbit. A full cycle of assembly, debugging, testing, launch and operation of the spacecraft has been implemented. With the participation of the international community, radio amateurs receive information packets of telemetry data containing the results of cosmophysical experiments.
The second nanosatellite BSUSat-2 was created within the framework of the State Program "Science-intensive technologies and equipment", the design of which implements an innovative modular layout of the onboard subsystems of a small spacecraft.
The Belarusian State University also presented the anticancer drugs Temodex, Prospidelong and Cisplacel.
Distinctive features of the above dosage forms, and they are produced in the form of bioabsorbable hydrogels, favorably distinguish them in the line of global manufacturers of anticancer drugs for local chemotherapy of malignant neoplasms.
By the way, "Prospidelong" and "Temodeks" have no analogues in their composition. The method of using domestic bioabsorbable hydrogels is surgical: they are implanted in the patient in the bed of the removed tumor and have an antitumor effect directly in the affected organ. Most importantly, these drugs prevent metastasis, reduce the dose of cytostatic and reduce the toxic load on the body.
In particular, "Prospidelong" is intended for the treatment of patients with gastric cancer with disseminated lesions of the abdominal cavity. It has also been proven that the use of Temodex in combined chemoradiation therapy for brain gliomas (stage III-IV) increases the duration of the relapse-free period and the life expectancy of patients.
Visitors to the exhibition are also presented with the Burevestnik drone of the MK RUE Scientific and Production Center for Multifunctional Unmanned Systems of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus. The device performs video monitoring of the terrain and objects, tracking of moving objects from an unmanned aerial vehicle with the ability to determine their coordinates and transmit the received video information via a radio channel to a ground control station and other remote consumers in real time. The flight range is up to 300 kilometers, the flight duration is up to 10-12 hours.
The organizer of the collective section of scientific and technical developments was the State Committee for Science and Technology, the exhibition operator was the State Institution “Belarusian Institute for System Analysis and Information Support of the Scientific and Technical Sphere”.
For reference: the initiative to hold the China International Import Expo was born at the Belt and Road Forum for International Cooperation in Beijing in May 2017, when Chinese President Xi Jinping proposed to regularly hold an international exhibition of imported goods in Shanghai from 2018 .
For the exhibition of enterprises from more than 100 countries, two blocks have been allocated: a block of goods and a block of services. The first block has six large pavilions on the following topics: intelligent and high-tech equipment; consumer electronics and home appliances; clothing, jewelry and consumer goods; cars; food and agricultural products; medical equipment and medicinal health products.
The service sector block will consist of five large pavilions on the following topics: new and emerging technologies; service outsourcing; innovative design and engineering; culture and education; tourist services.
