CERTIFICATION TESTING IN RUSSIAN AS A FOREIGN LANGUAGE

 

National Institute for Higher Education, Center of Certification Testing in Russian as a Foreign Language invites everyone to be tested for levels of proficiency in the Russian language.

Taking the test is an excellent opportunity to get an independent assessment of your proficiency at different periods of study, as well as to increase your competitiveness in the labor market, to make your portfolio more attractive to the employer.

 

To successfully pass the test is required to complete 5 subtests:

Subtest 1. Vocabulary. Grammar.

Subtest 2. Reading.

Subtest 3. Listening.

Subtest 4. Writing.

Subtest 5. Speaking.

 

The test will be considered passed if your total result for all subtests is at least 60%, while each individual subtest must also be passed at least 60%.

 

Testing takes place in two stages and lasts 180 minutes:

  • first stage: completing subtests 1, 2 and 3 at the computer - 100 minutes;
  • second stage: completing subtests 4 and 5 without using a computer - 80 minutes.

When signing up for testing, you determine which level of language proficiency you want to confirm.

Russian language proficiency levels:

A1 – Elementary Language Proficiency 

A2 – Pre-intermediate Сommunicative Level

B1 – Threshold Level

B2 – Vantage Level

C1 – Effective Operational Proficiency

Center of Certification Testing in Belarusian as a Foreign Language invites everyone to be tested for levels of proficiency in the Belarusian language.
Taking the test is an excellent opportunity to get an independent assessment of your proficiency at different periods of study, as well as to increase your competitiveness in the labor market
 

To successfully pass the test is required to complete 5 subtests:

Subtest 1.Listening.
Subtest 2. Reading.
Subtest 3. Writing.

Subtest 4. Speaking.

Subtest 5. Vocabulary. Grammar.

 

The test will be considered passed if your total result for all subtests is at least 60%, while each individual subtest must also be passed at least 60%.

Testing takes place in two stages and lasts 3 hours:

  • first stage: completing subtests 1, 2 and 5 at the computer - 90 minutes;
  • second stage: completing subtests 3 and 4 without using a computer - 90 minutes.


When signing up for testing, you determine which level of language proficiency you want to confirm.

Test in Belarusian as a Foreign Language (Common proficiency) is aligned with the ALTE certification system and the standards of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR) developed by the Council of Europe, examinations within which allow to determine the degree of mastery of communicative competence in accordance with the set standards of results.
