The Ministry of Education has approved a list of higher education specialties for which Russian citizens can be enrolled at the expense of the national budget based on the results of the Unified State Exam (USE). The relevant departmental decree No. 63 dated 16 March 2026 was published on the National Legal Internet Portal, BelTA has learned.
In 2026, 30 universities in Belarus are ready to accept applicants from Russia. "More than 850 budget places in 131 specialties have been approved. The largest number of places are in engineering, agricultural, and natural science specialties. The leading universities are the Belarusian State Order of the October Revolution and the Red Banner of Labor Agricultural Academy (93 places), Belarusian State University (82 places), Yanka Kupala Grodno State University (73 places)," the press service of the Ministry of Education informed.
In accordance with the admission rules, in order to enroll in allocated budget places, Russian citizens must have the results of the Unified State Exam in the subjects of specialized tests of at least 70% of the maximum possible value.
