Simanovskaya Tatyana Anatolyevna, Deputy Head of the Main Department of Educational Work and Youth Policy, Head of the Youth Affairs Department of the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Belarus, in an interview with journalists before the opening of the forum, drew attention to the need to actualize ideological and educational work with student youth.

— The issues that we want to discuss will primarily concern the updated regulatory framework, which was adopted during the year by the Ministry of Education in connection with the adoption of the updated Code on Education, - she said. — A significant number of regulatory documents have been published, including on issues of ideological and educational work. We want to update the forms and methods of working with students: they should be more flexible and in demand by this audience. We should not forget that students are future young professionals who will come to enterprises and organizations and will participate in the socio-economic development of the country.

According to Tatiana Anatolyevna, the emphasis in ideological and educational work today is on the formation of patriotism and citizenship:

— This particular line of work runs through all the events. Young people should be a guide of views, ideas and policies implemented in Belarus, including within the framework of the state youth policy. She has a lot of directions, the development strategy clearly outlines approaches to working with young people. We need to update this information and dot the "i".

The representative of the Ministry of Education also reminded that now is the time to discuss problematic topics related primarily to the fact that the academic year has started recently, and there are questions about the adaptation of first-year students to new realities for them:

— They need to get used to, get used to the order established in universities in order to successfully master the training program.

2. "Patriotism, citizenship, spiritual and moral values and national traditions as the basis of student education" (formation of values of the Belarusian statehood, education of respect for national symbols and traditions; introduction to universal and humanistic values, formation of moral culture of students through spiritual and moral education).
