The Center for Recognition of Documents (Belarus ENIC) (hereinafter referred to as the Center) is a scientific and methodological structural subdivision of the State Educational Institution "Republican Institute of Higher Education" (hereinafter referred to as the RISH).

The Center is included in the unified European network of National Information Centers for Academic Recognition and Mobility (ENIC-NARIC) and performs the functions of such a center in the Republic of Belarus.

The main purpose of the Center's activity is to provide expert and information and methodological support for the procedure for recognizing foreign educational documents on the territory of the Republic of Belarus based on the results of fundamental and applied scientific research in the field of education.

Tasks of the center:

- Scientific, methodological and analytical support for the examination and recognition of educational documents based on the results of fundamental and applied scientific research in the field of education.
- Information and consulting support of the procedure for the recognition of foreign educational documents in the Republic of Belarus.
- Examination of foreign documents on education for compliance with the documents on education of the Republic of Belarus.
- Interaction with foreign educational institutions and related organizations on the recognition of foreign educational documents.
- Performing the functions of the representative office of the Republic of Belarus in the European network of National Information Centers for Academic Recognition and Mobility ENIC/NARIC.
- Implementation of the educational program of training courses (lectures, thematic seminars, workshops, trainings and other types of training courses).

The Center, in accordance with the goals and objectives, performs the following functions:

1) Scientific and methodological:
- Forms a database of national and international regulatory legal acts in the field of recognition of educational documents.
- Develops and participates in the preparation of methodological and regulatory support for the system of academic and professional recognition of foreign educational documents.
- Conducts fundamental and applied scientific research in the field of recognition of educational documents.
- Prepares information and analytical materials, information, reviews on the education system of the Republic of Belarus, ongoing reforms, issued documents on education at the request of international centers of the network of National Information Centers for academic recognition and mobility ENIC/NARIC.

2) Expert-analytical:
- Collects and analyzes information:
a) On foreign education systems, qualifications, degrees, titles, documents and individual educational institutions, academic mobility, recognition procedures, legislative regulation, including international conventions and agreements.
b) About the national education system, its legal support.
- Conducts an examination of foreign educational documents with the preparation of relevant conclusions on the possibility or impossibility of recognizing these documents on the territory of the Republic of Belarus for the purposes of continuing education and/or employment.

3) Information and consulting:
- Provides information and advice to interested citizens, educational institutions of ministries, departments, organizations on the examination and recognition of foreign educational documents and relevant regulatory support.
- Provides representation in international recognition and academic mobility processes.
- Participates in events held within the framework of the network of National Information Centers for Academic Recognition and Mobility ENIC/NARIC.

4) Educational:

The methodologists of the Center take part in the organization and implementation of the educational program of training courses (lectures, thematic seminars, workshops, trainings and other types of training courses), the development of the content and implementation of the educational program of advanced training of managers and specialists on the recognition of educational documents and ensuring academic mobility in the RIH.

Every year, the Center considers about 1,500 applications for recognition of foreign documents.

Certificates are issued on TUESDAYS and FRIDAYS in the hall of the Institute. We ask you to call the number indicated on the stand in the lobby (at the stand) and tell us your full name and the purpose of the visit. An employee of the center will come to you with a document. We ask you to wear a mask when receiving the certificate for security reasons. Thank you for your understanding.
