The main purpose of the library of the State Educational Institution "Republican Institute of Higher Education" (RISH) is to provide timely and high-quality library users with information resources in their educational and research activities based on traditional and new information and library technologies.
The library fund is equipped with scientific and educational-methodical literature in the disciplines of humanitarian and socio-economic profile; in general professional and special disciplines of retraining and advanced training; in natural science and mathematical disciplines.
The fund consists of over 15,000 copies of books and magazines. Access to the fund is open. The main categories of service are teaching staff, research and support staff, graduate students and trainees.
There is a reading room, 3 computers with Internet access.
The collections of scientific and educational materials of the NIHE are presented in the Electronic Library of the BSU, including "Scientific works of the Republican Institute of Higher Education", materials of international scientific and methodological conferences "Higher School: problems and prospects" and "Modern trends in additional adult education", the magazine "Higher School".
In the reading room of the library, access to the IPS Etalon and subscription databases of the Fundamental Library of BSU (EBSCO, EastView, EAPATIS, GrebennikON, polpred.com etc.).
The periodicals fund is represented by industry publications of the Republic of Belarus and the Russian Federation corresponding to the profiles of training and retraining of personnel. The library houses the archive of the magazine "Higher School" since 1996.

Exhibitions of new arrivals of literature are constantly being organized: books and magazines on topical issues of university education, economics, sociology, pedagogy and psychology. Thematic exhibitions are organized throughout the year according to the library's work plan. Literature reviews and consultations on the search for the requested topics are conducted for students of advanced training and retraining.

In the reading room of the library there is a National classifier of the Republic of Belarus OKRB 011-2009 "Specialties and qualifications", QMS standards.
UDC indexes are assigned to scientific articles and texts are checked for uniqueness.
