Exactly two weeks before Victory Day, we are announcing the launch of the national project "Letter to Great-Grandfather." Starting today and running through May 16, young Belarusians pursuing higher and secondary vocational education will participate.
Anyone can address their letter to a relative – a veteran of the Great Patriotic War, a home front worker, or someone who made a significant contribution to the development of their homeland.
The main goal of the project is to preserve the historical memory of the heroic deeds of the Belarusian people and the victims of Nazism during the Great Patriotic War of 1941-1945, and to remind everyone of all that unites us and forms a strong bond between generations of Belarusians.
Students from general secondary schools will write a "Letter to Great-Grandfather" during a single lesson dedicated to Victory Day.
