The educational standard of general higher education in the specialty "environmental safety" was approved by Resolution No. 53 of the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Belarus dated February 20, 2026. This educational standard will be used in the development of educational and program documentation for the bachelor's degree program, educational and methodological documentation, educational publications, information and analytical materials. Education in the specialty "environmental safety" provides for full-time, part-time and distance education. The duration of general higher education in full—time is 4 years, in evening, correspondence and distance education - 5 years.
The main professional activities of a bachelor's degree graduate will be crop and animal husbandry, hunting and the provision of services in these areas, forestry and logging, water collection, treatment and distribution, wastewater collection and treatment, waste collection, treatment and disposal, as well as the recycling of materials, pollution control activities and other waste management services, activities of land and pipeline transport, scientific research and development in the field of natural and technical sciences, etc.
Resolution No. 53 comes into force after its official publication.
