Rector of the Belarusian National Technical University Sergey Kharitonchik told reporters how cooperation with China is currently taking place and what joint projects are planned, BelTA has learned.

"This year we would like to start the first enrollment in the Faculty of Chinese Technology, created jointly with Northeastern University. Everything here depends not only on our desire, but also on the mood of the Chinese side. We will meet in the near future and actively work in this direction," Sergey Kharitonchik said.

"The faculty will be designed to teach Chinese, Belarusians, and citizens of other countries. Today, China is demonstrating advanced working methods and advanced technology. We want to implement these technologies at home, so we must train Belarusians. We expect that citizens of the People's Republic of China will also study here, but we will be glad if other foreign citizens choose this faculty," added the rector of BNTU.

In his opinion, it is very important that Chinese projects that are being implemented in Belarus find a response in training personnel for these projects in our country and graduates understand well the tasks that are being set by China.

Sergey Kharitonchik stressed that active work is also underway with universities in the Russian Federation. This year, an educational program of joint training with the Bauman Moscow State Technical University will begin with the issuance of two diplomas. The final curriculum will be signed in the spring.

"Baumank has advanced technologies that it is important for us to learn, and we have real production facilities, so we complement each other well and hope that everything will be successful," concluded the rector of BNTU.
