The center is a structural subdivision of the National Institute for Higher Education.

The center is an official expert body of the Ministry of education of the Republic of Belarus to assess the quality of original author's educational publications in all specialities of higher, postgraduate and additional adult education.

MAIN GOALS AND OBJECTIVES:

The main objective of the Center is to meet the needs of the system of higher, postgraduate education and additional adult education quality educational literature.

Tasks:

Organizational and methodological activities for the preparation of original author's educational publications.

Expert activity on evaluation and selection of original authors.

Information and consulting support of their preparation.

Organizational, methodological and analytical support for the examination of educational publications.

Cooperation with educational and scientific institutions, publishers on the preparation for the publication of textbooks and manuals for higher education institutions.

FUNCTIONS:

The center in accordance with the goals and objectives performs the following functions:

• Selection of authors and groups of authors, organizational and methodological work with them to prepare for the publication of textbooks and manuals for all specialities of higher, postgraduate education and additional adult education.
• Organization of peer review and expert activities for the selection of original authors.
• Coordination of work of sections and Presidium of Scientific-methodological Council at the Ministry of education of the Republic of Belarus on secondary special, higher, postgraduate education and additional education of adults. Organization of meetings of sections and Presidium of the NMS.
• Registration and issuance of stamps of the Ministry of education of the Republic of Belarus to publishers for the publication of textbooks and manuals.
